With much anticipation, the 4th Annual Wētā East Coast Championships took place in conjunction with the 66th North Carolina Governor's Cup Regatta, June 16-18 on Kerr Lake.

After a 20 year multihull hiatus at the Fishing Bay Yacht Club Annual One Design Regatta, the Mid-Atlantic Wētā Fleet started a new trend. On July 22-23, nine Wētās swarmed Deltaville Virginia bringing along our Isotope Catamaran friends from Carolina Sailing Club.

After two successful editions in 2012 (Carnac, France) and 2018 (Lake Garda, Italy), a new Wētā European regatta will take place in L'Escala, Spain this year. The 2023 European Wētā Cup will be organized by Club Nàutic L’Escala and RS Veleros, from September 7th to September 10th 2023.

WētāFest 2023 is in the books!

Participation in regattas by Wētās sailors has dwindled significantly on the West Coast since the mid-twenty-teens. Last year, we were only able to get a fleet (6 boats) together for one regatta, the Commodores Invitational at Huntington Lake.
